Welcome scholars and families to Mathematics with Ms. Freer!
I am new to John Adams Academy this year as a secondary Mathematics teacher. Originally from the bay area, I relocated to El Dorado Hills with my son and mother in 2008. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a minor in Education from CSU-Sacramento in 2018. I then went on to U.C. Davis to earn my Single Subject Teaching Credential for Secondary Mathematics. This year I will be continuing at U.C. Davis to earn my Master’s Degree in Education.
When I am not working I am spending time with my family, including my two pit bulls, Pocket and Pretzel. I enjoy all types of art (making and appreciating), especially watching my son dance Hip Hop and Breakdance competitively.
I am incredibly excited to join my scholars in their exploration of mathematics and its connection to the classics. I feel blessed to be part of the John Adams Academy community and look forward to a wonderful journey in classical education with my scholars, their families and the amazing staff here at JAA.
“Mathematics, rightly viewed, possesses not only truth, but supreme beauty.”
