8th Grade Humanities
Welcome parents and scholars! It is a surreal feeling to be finally starting my teaching career at John Adams Academy. I am so grateful that my educational journey has taken me to this point. After 10 years, I have finally found a home. Initially, when I went into my interview for an instructional aide position at the El Dorado Hills campus, I was immediately in awe of the sense of community, the respectfulness of the scholars and the culture of greatness that John Adams is building.
I am very excited to begin a new adventure as the 8th grade humanities teacher. It will be a new and exciting experience for myself and my scholars as we embark on our quest to learn about the greatest American classics and most influential figures that helped shape the United States of America. I am ready to learn new insights of American culture by reading, discussing and writing about the classics and become a mentor as the scholars cultivate the benefits of a classical education.
Originally from Southern California, I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in History from the California State University of Northridge and later moved to Sacramento to earn my Master's Degree in Teaching from the University of San Francisco-Sacramento Campus. When I am not in the classroom, I am reading, learning something new, cooking, exercising, working with photography, hanging with my bunnies and going on adventures with my fiancée Marissa.
